Teri Ann Hourihan is running for Governor of Arizona as an Independent-minded No Labels candidate focused on putting people before politics and solutions before party loyalty. Her campaign is centered on bringing Arizonans together, reforming government, strengthening healthcare and education, protecting Arizona’s future, and giving voters an alternative to the traditional red-versus-blue political divide.
Teri Ann chose to run as an Independent and No Labels candidate because she believes years of political division have stood in the way of meaningful solutions and left too many Arizonans feeling unheard and unrepresented. She is committed to putting people before politics and leading with honesty, integrity, accountability, and common sense—not partisan agendas, special interests, or the influence of wealthy donors.
Teri Ann has pledged not to accept contributions from PACs or AIPAC because she believes elected leaders should answer first and foremost to the people they are elected to serve. As Governor, she will work to restore public trust by increasing transparency, strengthening accountability, reforming state agencies, and ensuring Arizona government operates efficiently, responsibly, and fairly for every community.
Teri Ann selected Angela Harrolle Mohan as her running mate for Lieutenant Governor because they share the same commitment to independent leadership, public service, transparency, and integrity. Together, Teri Ann and Angela are running to offer Arizonans a different kind of leadership—one focused on bringing people together, solving problems, and making state government work for the people of Arizona.
Teri Ann’s Passion to Love Arizona
Teri Ann Hourihan earned her Ph.D. in 2018 and is a licensed trauma therapist, Arizona native, mother, business leader, and woman of faith who has dedicated her career to helping people and strengthening communities. After decades of living, working, raising a family, and building a healthcare organization in Arizona, she has seen both the extraordinary potential of this state and the challenges facing the people who call it home.
Teri Ann did not enter the race for Governor as a career politician. Her decision grew from firsthand experiences within Arizona’s healthcare system, where she witnessed the challenges confronting patients, families, healthcare providers, small businesses, and vulnerable communities. What began as advocacy for meaningful healthcare reform ultimately revealed a much larger problem: too many Arizonans feel that government has become disconnected from the people it was created to serve.
As she traveled, listened, and advocated, Teri Ann recognized that the same concerns extended far beyond healthcare. Arizona families are struggling with the rising cost of housing, utilities, groceries, childcare, and everyday necessities. Parents and educators are concerned about the future of education. Communities want safe neighborhoods, responsible growth, reliable water resources, and greater economic opportunity. Arizonans also want transparency, accountability, and confidence that their government will treat people fairly regardless of their income, political party, background, or ZIP code.
That is why Teri Ann is running for Governor: to bring the voices and experiences of everyday Arizonans directly into state government and challenge a political system too often consumed by partisan conflict. As an Independent leader, she believes Arizona does not have to choose between red and blue to find good solutions. The best ideas should be judged by whether they work for the people of Arizona—not by which political party proposed them.
Teri Ann’s vision is centered on practical solutions, responsible government, stronger healthcare and education systems, affordability, public safety, protection of Arizona’s water and resources, and meaningful accountability throughout state government. Above all, she wants every community—from Arizona’s largest cities to its smallest rural communities—to know that its voice matters.
For Teri Ann, running for Governor is about more than winning an election.
